Quality comments:
The fingering weight biases bad. It is primarily a weaving yarn. I used it in conjunction with a cotton sport weight yarn to make purses/bags. The biasing did not occur when combined with another fiber. The weaving/fingering weight sheds, little flecks of fiber sluff off. It is best to have an apron, cloth on lap to catch the bits of fiber, etc. If one has a tendency to allergies to dusty, weedy things, one might want to avoid this fiber. I have pulled the slubs out on occasion. It is very strong. Adds an excellent texture and interest when combined with other yarns. It need to be washed and blocked in order to get rid of the shedding and stiffness.

Other comments:
This yarn is also available in fingering and worsted weights. All weights are stiff and wiry, and soften with continued use. In the sport weight it stood alone and did not bias and knit up quite quickly. It is rough on the hands, so one cannot work with it for long periods of time. I used it for making purses/bags. I might use it in conjunction with another yarn and it would be lined and not in contact with the skin, such as a lined vest for textural interest. It is too rough to be used as garment fabric. It has no elasticity.
