This yarn is one of the new breed specific yarns from Berroco's Connoisseur Collection. Gorgeous wool, feels similiar to Brown Sheep's Handpaint yarn. It is hard to believe that this yarn does not contain any mohair. In fact, the yarn is so soft and slippery that I may have to switch to wood or bamboo circulars as it tends to slip off my addi Turbos. Have knitted up one skein, no knots (one splice join). Pattern that I am using from KnittingNow states that this yarn needs a stitch pattern to tame it. Would be excellent for a gansey or an Aran.

Quality comments:
This is a lustrous yarn
with even color and
spinning throughout.
It knitted up quickly
and without any trouble.

Other comments:
Although the yarn is very pretty, it produces numerous large pills - up to 1/2 cm in diameter - all over the underarm/sides and on the inside surface of the garment. Even a year after the sweater was knitted, I am still removing dozens of pills after a single wearing. I think this yarn should be more tightly spun, as worsted-style yarns are typically (supposedly) pill resistant. I am not sure I would use this yarn again.

Quality comments:
gorgeous yarn, worthy
of your most
challenging projects.
Has a beautiful soft
sheen, doesn't split,
is a real pleasure to
knit with. Only
negative: one skein had
a few thin spots & a
couple of places where
the yarn had been
knotted together.

Terrific yarn for Aran projects, really showcases the stitches.
